The hinges are positioned inside the frame to ensure that they don't encroach on the sash of the door while it is open. They are then snagged to the edges of the doors. The hinges can be installed on uPVC aluminum, timber and aluminium doors. They are available in a variety of sizes to fit different dimensions of door sash.
These hinges provide the door with more adjustment than standard butts can provide. They are also a great choice for doors with chamfers which do not permit the use of traditional butts. They come with a metal dust cap and are adjustable in 3 planes and can support up to 60kg for each pair. They are easy-to-install and suitable for right or left hand doors RH/LH.

Flag Hinges
UPVC hinges are available to upgrade or replace hinges that are already in use. A lot of the latest uPVC door models have hinges that can be adjusted to slimline. They allow the door to open and close easily and are more resistant to heat. They require less maintenance and are less prone than older hinges to become draughty. Like all hinges, they can wear out over time and require adjustment.

You can adjust the butt type hinge by loosening a screw in the middle of the hinge. Then, turn the top or bottom screws to achieve an upward movement. To access a compression screw on the top of the device, you'll need to remove the cap. This screw adjusts the height of the hinge, with a an accuracy of up to 2mm.
Flag hinges are more versatile than butt hinges and are able to be adjusted both vertically and lateraly. They are also less prone to draughts than butt hinges because they have a smaller lip on the hinge. They are typically found on older uPVC doors and can be replaced with modern T hinges.
